myFolio New Features, Summer 2023

As part of our summer platform update, Folio Collaborative released the following new feature. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@foliocollaborative.org, or by phone at (800) 452-5078 Ext. 1.
Since it was added to myFolio in August of 2020, 77,820 goals have been created using the Goal Wizard.
People appreciate the guidance provided by the Wizard to help them create effective goals. Schools also like the ability to customize the Wizard prompts to align with their school culture.
But some schools have asked for a more streamlined goal creation process, in place of, or in addition to the Goal Wizard. So we have added an option for a Self-guided Goal. This option provides a one page form to enter your goal, but without the Goal Wizard’s coaching questions.
You can still associate your Goal with a school Theme (or category), share the goal with a Workspace, add action items and set a check-in frequency. So all the features of the current Goal Wizard Goal, just without the additional coaching questions.
The myFolio Admin has the option of allowing users to use just the Goal Wizard, just the Self-guided Goal, or both from the Goal Wizard Customizations page.
When both the Goal Wizard and the Self-guided Goal are enabled, an “Add Self-Guided Goal” button will appear on the “Welcome!” step of the Goal Wizard.
Clicking the button will bring up the Self-guided Goal page. Clicking Next will start the Goal Wizard steps.
If only the Goal Wizard is “On”, the Goal Wizard will appear without the “Add Self-Guided Goal” button.
If only the Self-guided Goal is enabled, the Self-guided Goal page will appear when the “Add Goal” button is clicked.
Goal Wizard Goals and Self-guided Goals will all appear together on the employee’s Goal page.
