Notes fulfill Milestones set by the school in myFolio. The five Note types are Conversation, Mid Cycle, Goals Meeting, Observation, and Year End Summary. myFolio Administrators, Supervisors and Group Viewers, and Collaborators may write Notes for other users. If the Employee-Originated Note setting is enabled by the myFolio Admin, all users can write Notes for themselves.
How to Write a Note for Yourself
Users can write Notes for themselves from two places - the Homepage or from the user's Profile.
Writing Notes from the Homepage
To write a Note from the Homepage, click "Write a Note." Select "For myself" and the type of Note.



If the Note type selected is a Conversation Note, users can select "Self-Reflection" instead of indicating the person they met with for this meeting. For all other Note Types, users will select who they met with before completing the Note.

Writing Notes from the Profile
To write a Note from your Profile, first access your Profile by clicking on your name in the top right corner, then selecting "Profile."

Click the Notes tab, then click "Add Note" and select the Note type. If the Note type selected is a Conversation Note, users can select "Self-Reflection" instead of indicating the person they met with for this meeting. For all other Note Types, users will select who they met with before completing the Note.


How to Write a Note for Someone Else
Users can write Notes for others from two main places - the Homepage or the Roll Call Page.
Writing Notes from the Homepage
To write a Note from the Homepage, click "Write a Note." Select "For Someone Else" and type the name of the employee in the box. Once you have selected the employee, select the type of Note to write.
Writing Notes from the Roll Call Page
To write a Note from the Roll Call Page, click "Roll Call" in the top menu. Scroll or filter for the employee, then click "Add Note" next to their name and select the type of Note.
Writing the Note
Select the date of the meeting and which Waypoint, if any, the Note completes. In the content box, select a Note Template by clicking "Templates" then the appropriate Template. If you are not using a Template, begin to write your Note in the provided box. You may add any websites or files by clicking the "+" underneath the Content box. Once you are finished, click Publish. Please note that publishing a Note for someone else will notify the other user.
