Claire McCarrick brings 18 years of experience as an educator dedicated to fostering growth and excellence in teaching and learning. She began her career as a full-time math teacher and transitioned to her current role as Dean of Faculty at Fordham Preparatory School in 2022. In her role, Claire oversees all aspects of professional development, including class visit feedback, the formation of non-tenured teachers, and providing learning opportunities for the entire faculty. At Fordham Prep, she has led the design and implementation of initiatives such as Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), a Peer Cohort Program, an Innovation Grant Program and other collaborative opportunities to support faculty growth and engagement. Claire also continues to share her love of teaching by instructing a section of Precalculus Honors for juniors. Passionate about lifelong learning and the value of personal connections, Claire’s educational philosophy centers on collaboration and an openness to growth, creating an environment where educators and students alike can thrive.
